O Grupo de pesquisa FORESTEYES atua na Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) dentro do Setor de Ciências Agrárias. Trata-se de um grupo de pesquisa certificado pelo Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa no Brasil - CNPq, desde março de 2018. Tem atuado junto ao Programa de Pós-graduação em Engenharia Florestal, MBA Manejo Florestal de Precisão, MBA Projetos Sustentáveis e Inovações Ambientais e ao curso de graduação em Engenharia Florestal.
O grupo é atualmente liderado pela pesquisadora Ana Paula Dalla Corte e tem como sede o Laboratório de Inventário Florestal e Laboratório Biofix no Campus III da UFPR, localizado no bairro Jardim Botânico em Curitiba – PR.
Linhas de Pesquisa
Para atingir este objetivo, o grupo desenvolve pesquisas e projetos em diversas linhas temáticas, que incluem:
- Imageamento por LiDAR para as estimativas florestais
- Sensores multiespectrais para avaliações florestais
- Imageamento com Veículos Aéreos Não Tripulados - VANTs
- Imageamento por Sensor Hiperespectral
- Quantificação de biomassa e carbono em ambientes florestais
- Análises Espaciais e Geoestatística aplicada às estimativas florestais
- Integração com técnicas de inteligência artificial (aprendizado de máquinas)
- Aquisição e Avanços técnicos e tecnológicos para as florestas plantadas e nativas
O FORESTEYES conta com uma equipe multidisciplinar de pesquisadores, estudantes e técnicos, buscando sempre a excelência na pesquisa e a aplicação prática dos conhecimentos gerados para atender às necessidades do setor florestal.
The FORESTEYES research group operates at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) within the Department of Agricultural Sciences. It is a research group certified by the Directory of Research Groups in Brazil – CNPq, since March 2018. It works alongside the Graduate Program in Forest Engineering, the MBA in Precision Forest Management, the MBA in Sustainable Projects and Environmental Innovations, and the undergraduate program in Forest Engineering.
The group is currently led by researcher Ana Paula Dalla Corte and is based at the Forest Inventory Laboratory and the Biofix Laboratory on UFPR’s Campus III, located in the Jardim Botânico district in Curitiba – PR.
Research Lines
To achieve this goal, the group develops research and projects across several thematic lines, including:
- LiDAR imaging for forest estimates
- Multispectral sensors for forest assessment
- Imaging with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – UAVs
- Hyperspectral sensor imaging
- Biomass and carbon quantification in forest environments
- Spatial analysis and geostatistics applied to forest estimates
- Integration with artificial intelligence techniques (machine learning)
- Acquisition and technical/technological advances for planted and native forests
FORESTEYES brings together a multidisciplinary team of researchers, students, and technicians, always seeking excellence in research and the practical application of the knowledge produced to meet the needs of the forestry sector.
